We deliver care at home and home help services for older adults and domestic services for anyone needing some assistance around the house.
This service is made possible by the generous and continued support of families, individuals and businesses making use of paid facilities within the centre. The more the community makes use of the services we offer, the more we are able to subsidise our Care@Home provision for more vulnerable older people within our community.
We currently have 12 clients with this service and we do a range of jobs from personal care to also helping out with food & cleaning up.
Any profit made from this venture goes back into the community and is used to develop lunch clubs and various other vital services for older people.
Our Supported Living Care packages provide support to help people live in their own homes.
Supported Living Care can be provided as part of a person’s care package, or paid for using self-directed support.
We will work with you and your family to create a Personal Development Plan. Together we will identify the support you require; which may include benefits advice, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, shopping, or perhaps attending activity groups, such as arts and crafts, men’s shed or cooking classes.
We provide a person centred approach, and the plan is adaptable to meet your needs and wishes. You and your family can be involved in choosing the staff you wish to support you, and have the option of having the same staff member all the time. For larger packages a variety of staff can support you, pulling together their strengths and your interests, providing a diverse package to suit you.
Throughout the care provision we will review the service we are providing to you, to ensure that we are meeting the outcomes you have set us, and to create new ones.
We are approved to deliver care at home packages for the NHS. We are a small team, and currently only deliver care within Wick and the surrounding area. We have experienced staff, and have for the last year been providing support for 15 clients per week.
We work in partnership with NHS, district nurses and local doctors to provide a holistic service in assisting with personal care. We can provide support and assistance with washing, bathing, and going to appointments and shopping. We are happy to deliver a service to meet your needs which could be anything from a weekly shower, to four visits a day for people needing additional care needs.
These Care Services can be provided via a conventional NHS care package, or paid for using self-directed support. More information about self-directed support can be found here: http://www.selfdirectedsupportscotland.org.uk/self-directed-support
Our care services are regulated and inspected by the Care Inspectorate; our care staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and adhere to its high standards of conduct and practice.
You can count on our trusted and experienced staff to deliver the best quality of care!
